1) We're tired of the couple wars! Aren't you? So, this is something we think will UNITE the fans. Who cares about who's in love with who...what really matters are your friends!
2) Who is Dawson Leery without Pacey Witter by his side? Who is Pacey Witter without Dawson Leery to lead the way? Who is any man, without his best friend? Dawson needs Pacey, and Pacey needs Dawson, as much as the both of them may want to deny it. Seventeen years of friendship is not something that can be forgotten in a day, or in three months at that. It's not something to be thrown away in a heartbeat.
3) Dawson and Pacey's relationship was the most real on the show. The one we could all link our own lives to. Why they should be friends is simple. Everyone needs someone to talk to and to confide in. Every person needs someone there at the end of his or her reach to take their hand when they need it most, lift them up when they've fallen down, and be the light at the end of the tunnel. Everyone needs a best friend.
4) They are everything that keeps the small circle they live in complete. By Dawson and Pacey's separation the whole group is affected, everyone suffers.
